Yuvraj Singh

Yuvraj Singh  Biography
It took Yuvraj Singh precisely one knock to elicit comparisons from the cricketing fraternity with Sachin Tendulkar. Batting against the Aussies in the ICC Mini World Cup of 2000, he slammed the opposition with an innings that had left most of those watching stunned; an 84 that came off 80 balls in his first international innings he batted in was bound to be special!
Nine years on, Yuvraj Singh has firmly established himself as a top-order batsman that the team so heavily relies on that it is difficult to see how would the team perform without him. Unfortunately though, it is a rather big surprise that till before the retirement of Sourav Ganguly, he had yet to become a permanent member of the test match side despite the number of opportunities provided.
Yuvraj Singh’s second major contribution to the Indian cricket’s cause was his partnership with Mohammad Kaif, in that now-famous Natwest Trophy finals against England. Batting in an almost-lost cause, the duo batted out of their skins to seal an improbable win over their opposition while chasing 326 for a win.
